UX Designer - design systems (Las Vegas, NV)

We are growing our team at Nova Timber Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
