UX Designer - design systems (Knoxville, TN)

Northwind Wilder Medical is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for training materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Design for tasks around training materials that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in training materials. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
