UX Designer - design systems (Indianapolis, IN)

Northwind Wilder Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Indianapolis. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 329 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in claims. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
