UX Designer - design systems (Indianapolis, IN)

Harborlight Timber Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for classroom supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
