UX Designer - design systems (Indianapolis, IN)

Cedar Summit Insurance Group is an insurance company in Indianapolis with claims and service teams. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
