UX Designer - design systems (Honolulu, HI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Pine Financial and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Design for tasks around regulatory reports that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in regulatory reports. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
