UX Designer - design systems (Honolulu, HI)

Summit Maple Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in volunteer shifts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
