UX Designer - design systems (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Keystone Transit Planning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in survey data. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
