UX Designer - design systems (Hartford, CT)

Westbrook Granite Community Partners Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
