UX Designer - design systems (Fresno, CA)

Harborlight Clear Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Fresno presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around volunteer programmes that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in volunteer programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno. • We reply to every applicant.
