UX Designer - design systems (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Kestrel Markets is a Detroit retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in store inventory. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
