UX Designer - design systems (Detroit, MI)

Lumen Quarry Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Detroit, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in route schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
