UX Designer - design systems (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Junction Community Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in volunteer shifts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
