UX Designer - design systems (Des Moines, IA)

Harborlight Quarry Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for ticketing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ticketing. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
