UX Designer - design systems (Columbus, OH)

Highbridge Timber Community Partners is a Columbus charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around donor records that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in donor records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
