UX Designer - design systems (Columbus, OH)

Silverline Maple Press is a printer and publisher in Columbus serving local and national clients. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 415 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around press runs that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in press runs. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
