UX Designer - design systems (Cincinnati, OH)

Bluepeak Sable Press is a printer and publisher in Cincinnati serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
