UX Designer - design systems (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Cobalt Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
