UX Designer - design systems (Charlotte, NC)

Summit Union Banking Services Partners is a community-focused bank in Charlotte serving households and small businesses, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around account openings that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in account openings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
