UX Designer - design systems (Buffalo, NY)

Silverline Hollow Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for school partnerships, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school partnerships. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
