UX Designer - design systems (Buffalo, NY)

Harborlight Ashton Health Partners runs clinics and patient services around Buffalo. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
