UX Designer - design systems (Buffalo, NY)

Bright Pike Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Buffalo, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
