UX Designer - design systems (Boston, MA)

Amberfield Cobalt Community Partners runs community programmes across Boston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
