UX Designer - design systems (Birmingham, AL)

Harborlight Cobalt Medical is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around production lots that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in production lots. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
