UX Designer - design systems (Birmingham, AL)

Nova Vale Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Birmingham. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Design for tasks around regulatory filings that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in regulatory filings. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
