UX Designer - design systems (Birmingham, AL)

Highbridge Thistle Medical is a Birmingham company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 389 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Design for tasks around complaint handling that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in complaint handling.
