UX Designer - design systems (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Ashton Banking Services is a regional lender in Birmingham with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around fraud alerts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in fraud alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
