UX Designer - design systems (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Harborlight North Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
