UX Designer - design systems (Anchorage, AK)

Ironwood Pike Press Group is a printer and publisher in Anchorage serving local and national clients. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in bindery work. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
