UX Designer - design systems (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Summit Ridge Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
