UX Designer - design systems (Anchorage, AK)

Northwind Forge Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for school partnerships, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
