UX Designer - content design (Virginia Beach, VA)

Rivermark Pine Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Virginia Beach. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around customer complaints that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
