UX Designer - content design (Virginia Beach, VA)

Westbrook Haven Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests.
