UX Designer - content design (Toledo, OH)

Redstone Union Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Toledo, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
