UX Designer - content design (St. Louis, MO)

Harborlight Beacon Early Learning is an early-learning provider in St. Louis, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
