UX Designer - content design (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Quill Banking Services and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around card disputes that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in card disputes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
