UX Designer - content design (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Cobalt Early Learning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would join a small organisation of about 63 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
