UX Designer - content design (San Antonio, TX)

Lumen Field Press is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Design for tasks around press runs that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in press runs. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
