UX Designer - content design (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Amberfield North Early Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
