UX Designer - content design (Sacramento, CA)

Fernwood River Community Partners runs community programmes across Sacramento. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in client intake. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
