UX Designer - content design (Sacramento, CA)

Clearpath Orchard Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Sacramento working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 93 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in survey data. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
