UX Designer - content design (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Nova Maple Community Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
