UX Designer - content design (Richmond, VA)

Cedar Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Richmond, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of about 948 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
