UX Designer - content design (Reno, NV)

Cedar Meadow Community Partners is a nonprofit in Reno supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in grant reporting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
