UX Designer - content design (remote)

Westbrook Bridge Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Chicago working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
