UX Designer - content design (remote)

Harborlight Lakeside Arts Center Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for event logistics, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 122 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around event logistics that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in event logistics. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
