UX Designer - content design (remote)

Clearpath Fern Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Honolulu presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around volunteer programmes that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in volunteer programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
