UX Designer - content design (remote)

Cedar Forge Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Providence. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
