UX Designer - content design (remote)

Fernwood Ember Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around New Orleans, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 51 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around promotions that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in promotions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
