UX Designer - content design (remote)

Lumen Works is a cultural organisation in Madison presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
